KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN (TraNews) – After a decade of preparation, Leonardo da Vinci enthusiasts will finally get the chance to appreciate the genius’ lifetime works. “Da Vinci – The Genius” special exhibition is scheduled to take place until September 12th of 2010 in the Second and Third Halls of National Museum of Science and Technology in Kaohsiung City. Leonardo da Vinci was a world-renowned Italian polymath, as well as an inventor, artist, scientist, anatomist, engineer, architect, geologist, sculptor and philosopher. He was widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time, and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived. He had also crafted an impressive variety of inventions, such as musical instruments, glider, helicopter, spotlight, portable piano, weapon, etc. He was even the first person who discovered atherosclerosis, studied across different fields and maximized the potential of personal life. The biggest feature of this traveling exhibition is the “Secrets of Mona Lisa” display. French scientific engineer and photographer, Pascal Cotte was granted unprecedented access by the French Government to carry out an extensive scientific evaluation of this masterpiece under strict security and supervision of the Louvre Museum. His sensational findings have revealed 25 secrets of this masterpiece “Mona Lisa’s Smile,” including identifying the painting’s original pigment colors, proving she indeed did have eyebrows and eyelashes and more waiting for you to find out!
