(TraNews) –The power of religion is immense. It has the treatment of soothing people and also allow people exploring more about ancient culture. Zhoutien Temple is located in Yunlin and was built in 1694. The temple has protected local people along the years.

Zhoutien Temple was originally called Tienhou Temple. The temple has gathered many pious worshippers. The main Goddess in the temple is Mazu and the Goddess has become major belief of local residents.

For the past 300 years, the temple has suffered from major damage such as fire and earthquake. Repair and reconstruction are practiced for all these years then to maintain until nowadays. If you want to pay a visit to the temple, you can walk along the instructions.

Every year in March is the most lively time in the temple for Mazu Festival starts. The procession of Mazu will visit different Mazu temples in Taiwan, and Zhoutien Temple is one of the stops. During these few days, there are crowds of people jamming into the temple and the sound of firecrackers has filled the whole region.
