KINMEN COUNTY, Taiwan
(TraNews) –There is a sweet fermented rice tangyuan store in Kinmen, and the store has a story. Grandpa Huang left his hometown in China and came to Kinmen. He managed to find a job in Kinmen and lived on his own. Afterwards, he met a local girl and started tangyuan business. The owner indicated that when he came to Taiwan solely, he planned to save some money then returned to China. However, due to the fact of political issue, he couldn’t go back there.

The store that he runs named Tantian House. When you step into the store, you can see flour all over the table, and his wife and son making tangyuan. When you savor the tangyuan, you will first taste sourness then a bit bitterness. The fun part is when sesame stuffing bursts out and dances on your tongue. The sweet and warm sweet fermented rice tangyuan is best to savor during wintertime.

The store has become a scenic spot when visiting Kinmen. A lot of people place orders from Taiwan only because they miss the wonderful taste so much.
